Collecting lived experiences of the Cass Review impact
Dr Webberley is gathering testimony from people affected by the Cass Review recommendations and invites readers to share their experiences.18 February 2026
The Cass Review has prompted significant changes in how gender-affirming care is delivered across the UK. To understand the real consequences of these shifts, I am collecting direct testimony from those affected, and so far 120 responses have come in.
These accounts matter. They help us recognise what is actually happening in clinics, in families, and in the lives of young people navigating their gender identity during a period of considerable change and uncertainty.
